The South Asian Business Excellence Awards were introduced to acknowledge and reward the exceptional work and the results gained by the trailblazers of the corporate domain, in the face of an ever-increasing competitive market in the South Asian Region. The Awards recognize the individual and organizations' achievements of those who create and maintain outstanding results and the award recipients are selected through the selection process set by the international Jury.

The first seven editions of The South Asian Business Excellence Awards in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 2021, 2022 & 2023 were consisted of twenty award categories to recognize excellence in innovation, enterprise, and endeavor, in the South Asian business community across the region.

The 1st edition in Colombo, Sri Lanka On 13th November 2016, 65 winners were announced at the Water’s Edge, Colombo Sri Lanka and the event was grace by the Chief Guest, the Honorable State Minister of International Trade Affairs, Sri Lanka, Mr. Sujeewa Senasinghe, and the Hon Minister of Economy Affairs, Afghanistan, Mr. Abdul Sattar Murad as a special guest. The 2nd edition of SAPSAA in Dhaka Bangladesh on the 21st of October 2017 was honored 70 winners at Le Meridian Hotel, Dhaka & we felt honored to have with us the honorable Chief Guest Mr. Gowher Rizvi, the International Affairs adviser to the prime minister of Bangladesh, & the deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan in Bangladesh attend as a special guest. The third edition of SAPAA in Kathmandu Nepal on the 3rd October 2018 at Radisson hotel Kathmandu with 90 award winners and 4th edition of SAPSAA at the Hilton Colombo, Sri Lanka on the 14th of November 2019, and Our Chief Guest was the Honorable President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena and Honorable Minister Petroleum Resources, Sri Lanka, Mr. Arjuna Ranathunga at that time. the 5th edition of SAPSAA ended with the highest attendees of 400 guests and award winners amidst the global pandemic on the 10th December 2021 at the Monarch Imperial Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka former President Hon Maithreepala Sirisena graced the event as a chief guest and Hon cabinet minister, Mr. Mahindananda Amiraweera, State Minister Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara & Member of Parliament Mr. Shantha Bandara, Consular of Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka Mr. Reyad Hussain and Mrs. Naranagoda, Director at SARCC cultural center were among the guests of honors.

Following the recognition of the second-highest award recipient from Bangladesh in the 5th edition in 2021, the organizing committee decided to host the 6th edition in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The 6th SAPSAA edition was successfully concluded with nearly 300 participants at the Pan Pacific Hotel, honoring 80 winners on the 22nd and 23rd of September 2022. The event was graced by Hon. Muhammad Abdul Mannan, the Minister of Planning of Bangladesh, who served as the chief guest, along with High Commissioners and prominent VVIPs, making it a memorable occasion for the audience.

The seventh edition took place in the Maldives on November 30th at JEN Maldives Malé by Shangri-La, honoring 75 winners. The event was attended by numerous VVIPs, including High Commissioners and ambassadors, with the First Lady as the chief guest.

The 8th edition of SAPSAA is all set to be staged on the 20th December 2025 in New Delhi, India at the Pride Plaza Hotel, Aero City.
