The South Asian Business Excellence Awards were introduced to acknowledge and reward the exceptional work and the results gained by the trailblazers of the corporate domain, in the face of an ever-increasing competitive market in the South Asian Region. The Awards recognize the individual and organizations' achievements of those who create and maintain outstanding results and the award recipients are selected through the selection process set by the international Jury.

The first five editions of The South Asian Business Excellence Awards in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2021 were consisted of twenty award categories to recognize excellence in innovation, enterprise, and endeavor, in the South Asian business community across the region.

The 1st edition in Colombo, Sri Lanka On 13th November 2016, 65 winners were announced at the Water’s Edge, Colombo Sri Lanka and the event was grace by the Chief Guest, the Honorable State Minister of International Trade Affairs, Sri Lanka, Mr. Sujeewa Senasinghe, and the Hon Minister of Economy Affairs, Afghanistan, Mr. Abdul Sattar Murad as a special guest. The 2nd edition of SAPSAA in Dhaka Bangladesh on the 21st of October 2017 was honored 70 winners at Le Meridian Hotel, Dhaka & we felt honored to have with us the honorable Chief Guest Mr. Gowher Rizvi, the International Affairs adviser to the prime minister of Bangladesh, & the deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan in Bangladesh attend as a special guest. The third edition of SAPAA in Kathmandu Nepal on the 3rd October 2018 at Radisson hotel Kathmandu with 90 award winners and 4th edition of SAPSAA at the Hilton Colombo, Sri Lanka on the 14th of November 2019, and Our Chief Guest was the Honorable President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena and Honorable Minister Petroleum Resources, Sri Lanka, Mr. Arjuna Ranathunga at that time. the 5th edition of SAPSAA ended with the highest attendees of 400 guests and award winners amidst the global pandemic on the 10th December 2021 at the Monarch Imperial Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka former President Hon Maithreepala Sirisena graced the event as a chief guest and Hon cabinet minister, Mr. Mahindananda Amiraweera, State Minister Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara & Member of Parliament Mr. Shantha Bandara, Consular of Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka Mr. Reyad Hussain and Mrs. Naranagoda, Director at SARCC cultural center was among the guest of honors.

Having the second-highest award recipient from Bangladesh at the 5th edition in 2021, the organizing committee has decided to take the 6th edition to Dhaka, Bangladesh. The 6th edition of SAPSAA is all set to be staged on the 22nd & 23rd of September 2022 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
